Ingredients
- Freshly brewed coffee (let sit for 30 minutes)
- Sugar or sweetener (granulated, raw, agave nectar, honey, stevia, etc.)
- Creamer (milk, half and half, or soy milk)
- Ice
- [OPTIONAL] Cinnamon and/or 1/8 tsp vanilla
- In a tall glass, first add the sugar, then a little bit of coffee, and mix until dissolved.
- Add a decent amount of ice. Pour in more coffee, leaving about a half inch (more or less depending on how much creamer you want). Shake up your milk, half and half, or soy until frothy, and pour over the top.
- [OPTIONAL] Enjoy the magic of seeing the milk combine with the coffee (that's my favorite part ^-^ I'm obviously easily amused).
- Mix well
- Add a straw and enjoy your perfect cup of iced coffee.
For prime results, I suggest investing in a French Press. (Pictured on the left)
My mom and step dad have always gotten theirs from goodwill, but after a day of looking around local thrift stores, I decided to cave in and set out to Bed Bath & Beyond, and to my surprise I found a good size, pretty well-made French Press for only $10. Of course you would have to find a grinder as well (if you don't already have one!), but mostly every thrift store has one lying around, as most people don't find use in them anymore. I think I shall make the o magical French Press it's own post....will continue tomorrow afternoon!
